Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information balmacefa.com ("the site") collects, why, and how it is handled. The site is operated by Fabián Balmaceda Rescia, an independent IT consultant based in San José, Costa Rica ("I", "me").
1. Information I collect
When you use the project inquiry form on this site, I collect the information you submit: your name, email address, company (optional), project type, approximate budget, desired timeline, and a description of your project.
The hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes standard technical data for every visitor, such as IP address and browser information, for security and performance purposes, before it reaches me.
2. How I use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether your project is a good fit.
- To keep a record of business inquiries and correspondence.
- To improve the site and the services I offer.
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties except the service providers described below, who help me operate the site and respond to you.
3. Where your information is stored
Form submissions are processed and stored on a self-hosted workflow automation system (n8n) that I run and control directly. A copy of each submission is also sent to my email inbox so I can reply.
4. Service providers
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for this website.
- Self-hosted n8n — receives and stores project-inquiry form submissions.
- Google / Gmail — email correspondence about your inquiry.
5. Advertising and analytics
This site does not currently run advertising or analytics tracking. I plan to advertise this site using Google Ads and/or Meta (Facebook) Ads. Once active, those services may place cookies or similar technologies on your device to measure ad performance and show relevant ads, and may share limited data with Google and Meta for that purpose. You can learn more, and manage your preferences, through Google's Privacy Controls and Meta's Privacy Policy. This policy will be updated with more detail once those tools are active.
6. Cookies
This site does not itself set tracking or advertising cookies today. The embedded project-inquiry form may use cookies strictly necessary for the form to function correctly.
7. How long I keep your information
I keep inquiry data for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and to maintain business records, or until you ask me to delete it.
8. Your rights
You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you at any time by emailing [email protected].
9. International visitors
This site is available worldwide. If you contact me from outside Costa Rica, your information will be processed in Costa Rica and in the countries where the service providers listed above operate.
10. Children
This site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at, or knowingly collecting information from, children.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time, for example when I add new tools such as advertising or analytics. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
